Environmental Policy

ABC Environmental will assist clients to develop an appropriate environmental policy.

An environmental policy represents a company’s commitment to sustainable business practice and environmental improvement. It is a written statement outlining an organisation’s mission in relation to managing the environmental effects of its operations. The environmental policy is the cornerstone of any environmental management system (EMS) and is fundamental to obtaining certification to the international standard ISO 14001 or registration under EMAS.

Environmental Audits

An audit is the starting point for any processs of environmental management and improvement. ABC Environmental will carry out environmental audits on behalf of clients to provide valuable information regarding their environmental situation. This information can be used to signpost areas of concern or where further investigative work may be required. The audit will provide benchmark data against which the results of future measures to improve environmental performance will be measured. Environmental reviews are also carried out as the first stage of an environmental management system. ABC Environmental will:

• identify aspects of a business that are either an environmental risk or non-compliant with environmental law
• review operational procedures and identify opportunities to cost effectively improve environmental performance beyond the requirements of the law
• assess energy use, raw material consumption and waste production and their associated costs and identify potential measures to reduce them all.

Environmental Reporting

Companies that measure, manage and communicate their environmental performance are inherently well placed. They understand how to improve their processes,  reduce their costs, comply with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations and take advantages of new market opportunities. ABC Environmental Ltd will work with clients to report on environmental matters in a transparent and digestable format in keeping with current best practice. In order to complile and publish a regular environmental report, a company needs to conduct regular environmental audits. In order to report environmental improvements in respective environmental reports, a company will need to manage those aspects of their activities that have an environmental impact and implement continous, targeted measures to address them.
