Life Cycle Assessment

Life Cycle Assessment, often referred to as ‘cradle to grave’ assessment looks at all environmental impacts of a company’s products from raw material extraction to transport, manufacture, distribution, use and end of life disposal. ABC Environmental Ltd. will carry out Life Cycle Assessment to the requirements of the international standard ISO14044:2006.

Carbon Footprinting/ Carbon Audits/ Energy Audits

ABC Environmental Ltd. will assess an organisation and identify all aspects of its activities and products that result, directly or indirectly, in carbon emissions in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) and international standard ISO14064.2006. These emissions will then be quantified using current best practice and DEFRA approved conversion factors to calculate an overall ‘carbon footprint’. The process will identify opportunities to make real reductions in emissions through improvements in practices and processes.Climate change is now almost universally recognised as the greatest threat ever faced by our culture and economy and one that will require rapid and effective action to avoid its potentially devastating consequences.

Carbon Reduction Strategies

ABC Environmental will assist clients to develop an integrated carbon reduction strategy addressing energy efficiency,  resource use, inefficient processes and practices, waste management, sustainable procurement, sustainable transport planning, sustainable product design including considerations of end of life disposal, ongoing appraisal of new carbon limiting technologies and new opportunities to reduce emissions. Having made every effort to achieve real reductions in our clients’ carbon emissions ABC Environmental will identify third parties offering effective and verifiable carbon offsetting schemes so that ‘carbon neutral’ status can be achieved if required.
